Hi, I’m Jiyon. Welcome to Globe Chatter.
There’s a story behind every community, every new idea, and every unique person. I learned that as a thirteen year old volunteer in 2018, when I went door-to-door canvassing for the congressional campaign of an inspiring millennial from my community, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, in New York City. The diversity of thought, identity, and personality that one experiences while campaigning is astounding.
If we have any hope of gaining a greater understanding of the profound sociopolitical upheavals and trends in our world today, especially those initiated by young people, it is essential that we discuss the stories behind them.
Whether it is through writing, discussions, or debates, I hope this site will give us a deeper insight into issues facing young people all over the world and the real narratives behind them.
